Writing Workshops

The Long Island Writers' Guild encourages writers to develop their own style in a supportive and educational environment. Join the monthly workshops at the Bellmore Memorial Library and learn writing strategies and tricks, pursue inventive writing exercies, present your work in progress and most important, have fun! The writing workshop is free and open to the community. It is led by columnist Florence Gatto and poet, Beverly E. Kotch. Wednesdays at 1 PM.

Medicare Update 2008

Knitting is the New Yoga

On Thursday evenings, December 13, January 17, February 21 and March 13, 7 - 9 PM, Lois Buonagurio continues her very popular program. Beginning knitters, bring your own worsted weight yarn and short size 10 needles or purchase supplies at the class from Lois. You will make a scarf or choose another project while you learn to knit.

Bring your knitting or crochet project and enjoy an evening with fellow crafters.

Poetry Jam at The Bellmore Memorial Library

On Tuesdays, April 24 and May 29, two poets will read from their latest poems. Bring your own poem and share it at open mic!

Writing Workshop

Learn to preserve your stories, memories and musings for the next generation! On Wednesday, May 9, at 1 PM, Columnist Florence Gatto and poet Beverly E. Kotch of the Long Island Writers Guild will show you how to get started and keep going.
